The last time I posted was back in October. I was completing a round of Fix Extreme and posting all sorts of great recipes that I enjoyed on that journey. Was it a success? Yes. Here were my results.
Looking back, that seems like a lifetime ago. I was in a phase with my health & fitness that I will call a slump. I was just going through the motions not truly plugged in to what I was doing. I would complete workouts, but was never fully present. The joy and excitement I used to feel were not there. And I didn’t feel happy.
This slump continued for me through the Holidays even though I started a program called Hammer & Chisel. I got about half way through and then got sick and…quit. It was the perfect excuse, because my again, my heart wasn’t in it.
Last week I finally had that conversation with myself about where I was headed and I knew I really needed to do something to “reignite” my passion and likewise reaffirm the commitment I made to myself back in 2009 when I started.
It was the strangest thing, really that sparked an idea of what to do next. I was sitting at my Kitchen island drinking coffee and what do I see peeking out of my appliance garage, but this white box. It was a 3 Day Refresh that I purchased quite some time ago and never used. I started thinking back to Summer 2014 when I did the Refresh a few times. I had amazing results each time I would do it. Back then I tried to do it monthly and I totally built on the results and was looking amazing in August 2014.
So, it seemed like a ‘no brainer’ for me. I would start with something that I knew I could accomplish. A small success that wouldn’t take 30 or even 60 days, but just 3! And that’s what I did.
Day 1 was easy peasy. I followed the plan as outlined and did a 20 minute Body Beast Bulk Arm workout. Day 2 I taught a PiYo Live Class and again had no struggles following the plan which includes, Shakeology, Fiber Sweep, Vanilla Refresh Shakes and yes…some food. Day 3, I felt tired, so no workout and this time I didn’t experience any sort of headaches as I had in the past. No cheats, pure commitment in terms of the food and supplements, which…btw don’t include pills.
What did this 3 days do for me? Well…it inspired me to go further. It motivated me to want to “re-engage” and get back in the game. I had some great results and I felt deep down that there was so much more for me ahead with my health & fitness. I felt the desire to be more than I had before if that makes sense.
